Introduction
This app was created with privacy-first principles. HealthCharts reads health data from Apple HealthKit to display visualizations and does not operate servers that collect or store your personal information.
Information We Collect
Local Device Storage
The app keeps these items only on your device:
- Widget configurations and preferences
- App settings
- Subscription status cache
Apple HealthKit
HealthCharts requests read-only access to your health data through Apple HealthKit. This includes metrics such as steps, heart rate, calories, and other health indicators you choose to share.
- Your health data remains on your device
- We never transmit health data to external servers
- We cannot write or modify your health data
Third-Party Services
TelemetryDeck: We use TelemetryDeck for privacy-first analytics. TelemetryDeck collects:
- An anonymized device identifier (cannot be traced to you)
- App usage events (screens viewed, features used)
- Device metadata (iOS version, app version)
- Timestamps (rounded to the nearest hour)
TelemetryDeck does not collect IP addresses, personal information, or health data. You can learn more at https://telemetrydeck.com/privacy/
Apple StoreKit: Handles subscription purchases. We receive subscription status and expiration dates. Apple processes all payment information—we do not have access to your payment details.
What We Don’t Collect
We do not collect:
- Personal information such as name, email, or phone number
- Location data
- Camera or microphone access
- Contacts or calendar information
- Your actual health data values (these stay on your device)
Data Usage
Local data stores your widget configurations. HealthKit data displays your health visualizations within the app. Analytics data helps us understand how to improve the app.
Data Security
Your data uses Apple’s secure frameworks (SwiftData, HealthKit, and UserDefaults). We do not sync your data to any cloud service.
Your Rights
HealthKit Permissions
Manage permissions in device Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > HealthCharts.
Data Deletion
Uninstalling removes local app data. Your health data remains in Apple Health.
GDPR Rights (European Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing
- Data portability
Since we do not collect personal data on servers, most data rights can be exercised by managing app permissions or uninstalling the app. Contact the developer for any privacy-related requests.
CCPA Rights (California Residents)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected
- Know whether your personal information is sold or disclosed
- Say no to the sale of personal information
- Access your personal information
- Request deletion of your information

We do not sell your personal information. The analytics data collected through TelemetryDeck is anonymized and cannot be traced back to you.
Children’s Privacy
This app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy in the app.
